On March 30 and April 1 prof. Valentyna Pidlisnyuk and Dr.Sergiy Ust’ak, CRI discussed the peculiarities of monitoring the 2020 and 2021 miscanthus fields and harvested biomass processing. They overviewed the design of 2022 Lab experiment on testing the biochar, and continuation of 2021 experiment on impact of PGRs and monitoring of the soil health. The biochar for the Lab experiment was produced from Miscanthus waste biomass grown at the contaminated land field in Croatia. It was received using the pyrolysis process by project team from VSB TUO, Ostrava.
Testing experiment will be established using two doses of Miscanthus biochar produced from waste, as control the industrially produced biochar from sludge will be used. During the Lab experiment establishing and maintaining two Ukrainian students from Ternopil National Pedagogical University Maria Bondaruk and Halyna Fedoriv who have been accepted by UJEP for the Summer Internship will participate.
