On August 3, 2021 teams from Germany: AST and HFT (represented, consequently, by Dr.Firus, Daniela Einer and Soren Tech) and team from the Czech Republic: UJEP, represented by prof. Pidlisnyuk and PhD student Robert Newton met together in Dresden in order to overview the project’s progress. The meeting was hosted by TUD HFT.
During the meeting participants worked intensively on the Test to be proposed for biomass verification depending of the aimed bioproduct to be received, i.e.: fiber, pulp, paper, biochar. Test will be presented as a Guide for End-users and consists of chapters about each step of value chain of Miscanthus biomass. It was agreed to prepare a wide plan of each chapter by co-author(s) responsible and overview the plan at the regular teams meeting scheduled for August 31 at Dresden.
The first samples of isolation materials produced from Miscanthus biomass supplied by UJEP were introduced by Soren Tech, TUD HFT to the participants.
Prof. Pidlisnyuk presented to participants a Class Book “Key Questions on Climate Change and Sustainability” which was created within NATO SPS MYP G4687 with logistical support of CORNET.
Prof. Pidlisnyuk had a meeting with former Fellow Ethan Duong who participated in production of the isolation materials from Miscanthus biomass doing Master research at the University of Applied Science in Dresden.
